Article 9 of the Besluit beheer verpakkingen 2014 disapplies the statutory notification below 50,000 kg, and article 5.1 of Annex 2 to the agreement exempts the same producers from registering with the fund. Deposit and single-use plastic packaging are excluded from that exemption.

Article 8(3) tests the weight across a VAT fiscal unity rather than per legal entity, so related companies count together.

Frequently asked
Do I have to register below 50,000 kg?
No. The statutory notification is disapplied by article 9 and the agreement exempts the same producers from registering with the fund. The calculation record still has to exist.
What if I ship deposit or single-use plastic packaging?
Then the allowance does not apply to that packaging and it is registered and declared from the first unit, whatever the annual weight.
How long does registration take?
The producer organisation controls its own processing and timing. We do not promise a date.
Will you give me a registration number?
We prepare and coordinate the file. Any number is issued by the producer organisation, and we do not publish a format we have not verified.
